Are you a Quality Inspector who enjoys being at the heart of manufacturing qualitycatching issues early, working from drawings and GD&T, and helping production deliver right-first-time ?Our exclusive client NMB Minebea UK , part of a multi-billion-dollar global manufacturing group with operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, is renowned for precision engineering and the production of mission-critical components.This role is based at Doddington Road, Lincoln (LN6 3RA) , supporting manufacturing operations through first-off and in-process inspection activities. Youll help ensure components meet engineering requirements and support production and quality objectives in a fast-paced environment.As the Quality Inspector, your responsibilities will include: Carrying out first-off inspections to validate set-ups and confirm products meet specification prior to releasePerforming in-process inspections and ongoing monitoring of production outputInterpreting and inspecting to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirementsUsing a range of manual measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges) and inspection techniquesIdentifying, recording, and reporting non-conformances in line with quality proceduresSupporting containment, investigation, and resolution of shop-floor quality issuesWorking closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to support corrective actions and prevent recurrenceCompleting inspection records, reports and documentation accuratelyEnsuring all activities comply with Health, Safety and Environmental standardsAs the Quality Inspector you will bring: Minimum 5 years experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environmentStrong experience in first-off and in-process inspectionProven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TConfident use of manual measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges etc.)Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused mindsetAbility to work effectively within a production team environment, with good communication skillsDesirable (but not essential): Time-served background in engineering/manufacturingExperience in high-volume or precision manufacturingFamiliarity with quality systems, inspection documentation and traceabilityExposure to root cause analysis / quality problem-solvingShift Pattern / Hours (A/B Shift) Overtime available when required:A Shift: MonThu 6:00am1:35pm | Fri 6:00am12:45pmB Shift: MonThu 1:25pm9:05pm | Fri 12:35pm7:00pm ( 20% premium Friday )(Additional site shift patterns may also operate.)Benefits 25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension (5% employer contribution)Subsidised health care & personal accident planDeath in service schemeUniform, bike to work scheme, employee suggestion schemeOn-site canteen & parkingLong service award & employee referral schemeThis Quality Inspector position offers the chance to join a well-established site that values quality, process discipline, and technical capability.
