Job Description
Our organization in Rapid City is on the lookout for a full-time, board-eligible or board-certified physician specializing in Obesity Medicine. Candidates should either hold Obesity Medicine certification or have completed a fellowship in the field and be preparing for the certification examination. This role is part of our well-established and expanding comprehensive obesity medicine and bariatric surgery practice, which prioritizes exceptional patient care, teamwork, and a fulfilling work environment.
About Our ProgramThe Bariatric and Metabolic Institute at our facility is accredited by MBSAQIP and is planning to seek further obesity medicine certification during the upcoming accreditation review.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive obesity care, guiding patients through both medical and surgical treatment options.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including a board-certified obesity medicine physician, a fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon, and an in-house bariatric psychiatrist.
- Work alongside dedicated registered dietitians, advanced practice providers, and skilled nursing staff.
Our facility, Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, is a 417-bed regional tertiary care center and Level 2 Trauma Center, serving a five-state area.

Qualifications- Board-eligible or board-certified in Obesity Medicine.
- Certification through a fellowship program or continuing medical education pathway is required.
