Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon to become part of a well-established and expanding practice located in the beautiful coastal area of North Myrtle Beach, SC. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a passion for both general orthopaedics and sports medicine, especially as we develop our program in one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation.
Key Responsibilities- Join a thriving sports program that includes:
- 1 Sports Surgeon
- 2 Non-operative Sports Physicians
- 1 Sports Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
- Collaborate with a diverse team of orthopaedic specialists, including:
- 3 Joint Surgeons
- 1 Foot & Ankle Surgeon
- 1 Upper Extremity Surgeon
- 1 Spine Surgeon
- A large team of Advanced Practice Providers
- Engage in both practice and operating room time, with access to expanding ORs and a freestanding surgical center.
- Participate in emergency department call rotations among the surgical team.
- Work alongside a team of 9 Advanced Practice Providers who assist with inpatient call rotations.
- Build relationships with local high schools and colleges.
- General orthopaedic skills are required; experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Our facility, McLeod Health Seacoast, boasts a medical staff of over 200 physicians across more than 32 specialties. We also operate McLeod Health Loris, a non-profit 50-bed hospital that focuses on general surgery, women's health, emergency services, critical care, urology, and various therapies. Additionally, we are excited to announce the development of a new Dialysis Access Center.
The upcoming McLeod Health Carolina Forest campus will span 43 acres and feature seven buildings dedicated to a wide range of services. A state-of-the-art facility, costing $56 million, is set to provide 48 beds and ensure immediate access to care for all patients. This facility is expected to be completed within the next two years, with an anticipated opening in 2026.
