The anticipated wage range for this position is between $11,538.46 and $13,238.81 on a bi-weekly basis.
Position OverviewReporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Physician will independently manage professional outcomes while delivering primary healthcare services for our organization. This role involves performing various related tasks as necessary.

Key Responsibilities- Collect and assess patients' health histories, documenting findings accurately and systematically.
- Conduct physical examinations, distinguishing between normal and abnormal results.
- Provide routine physical assessments, diagnostic services, and treatment for illnesses and emergencies.
- Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics consistently.
- Ensure quality care for all patients.
- Share on-call responsibilities with other medical staff as needed.
- Gather and document information regarding patients' medical histories.
- Evaluate patients to assess their overall physical condition.
- Order and perform various tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging to inform patient care.
- Analyze test results and examinations to diagnose conditions accurately.
- Administer or prescribe appropriate treatments and medications.
- Provide vaccinations to protect patients from communicable diseases.
- Advise patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods.
- Report births, deaths, and outbreaks of contagious diseases to relevant authorities.
- Refer patients to specialists for advanced treatment as necessary.
- Perform minor surgical procedures.
- Conduct physical exams for school admissions, job considerations, or insurance eligibility.
- Assist the Chief Medical Officer in formulating medical policies, assessing existing ones, and implementing necessary changes; design and evaluate educational programs for patients and staff.
- Share supervisory duties of nurse practitioners with the Clinical Director as required.
- Operate within the privileges and protocols established by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Participate in committees as requested by the Chief Medical Officer.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including infection control regulations.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for patients across all age groups.
- Understand protocols related to domestic violence, child, dependent, and elder abuse.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and ensure confidentiality of communications involving patients, employees, and the organization.
- Engage in patient population management concerning clinical services, considering cultural diversity and local resources.
- Participate in care coordination by making follow-up calls after hospital discharges, assisting patients with follow-up appointments, and gathering data from recent admissions to facilitate continuity of care.
- Develop relationships with high-risk clients to support their self-management needs.
- Refer to an RN when clinical judgment is uncertain.
- Enhance communication skills with all team members, advocating for patients and utilizing available resources to facilitate care.
- Collaborate with the Care Team (PCP, RN, Health Educator, LCSW, Director of Nursing, and/or Chief Medical Officer) to ensure patients receive appropriate services to achieve their goals.
- Engage in the quality improvement process, which may involve meetings, data collection, and auditing charges.
- Utilize Evidence-Based Practice guidelines to assist in disease management.
May oversee mid-level providers under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer.

Education and Experience- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, or Pediatrics is required.
- Board Certification or eligibility is mandatory.
- Maintain current knowledge in relevant fields through continuing medical education and participation in medical societies at both local and national levels.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Must respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to perform basic arithmetic operations and interpret data presented in various formats, including bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityPossess authoritative knowledge of family-centered medicine principles and the ability to apply logical or scientific reasoning to a variety of intellectual and practical challenges.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations- Must hold a current, unrestricted, and valid Physician and Surgeon license or equivalent from the Medical Board of California.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, or Pediatrics is required.
- Must possess a current, unrestricted, and valid DEA license, along with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS-C) certifications.
- Annual health examinations, TB skin test clearance or biannual chest x-ray, and up-to-date immunizations for healthcare workers are required upon hire and annually thereafter.
