Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED)

Location: Longview, TX 75601

Schedule: Full-Time

Shift: Nights

Status: Permanent

Why This FSED is Different

This is not your typical emergency department. As an RN in our Freestanding Emergency Department in Longview, TX, you will practice with a level of autonomy, clinical depth, and team connection that sets this role apart from a traditional hospital ER. You will manage the full spectrum of emergency presentations — from routine acute care to complex, high-acuity cases — in a fast-paced environment where your clinical judgment, leadership, and compassion are valued every single shift.

What You'll Do

You will provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients. Additional responsibilities include addressing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, administering medications and treatments per protocol while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness, documenting patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and completely, assessing learning needs and providing education to patients, families, and caregivers, making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers to effectively manage clinical situations, and developing long-range goals and continuing to build skills in managing clinical contingencies with confidence and independence.

What's In It For You

  • Competitive salary + night shift differential
  • Comprehensive benefits — medical, dental, vision
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Tuition reimbursement and professional development support
  • Generous PTO
  • New Nurse Orientation within first 30 days
  • Structured preceptorship and onboarding competency validation
  • A mission-driven team culture built on clinical excellence and compassionate care

What You'll Need

  • Active RN license in Texas or compact state license — required
  • BLS certification — required
  • ACLS certification — required
  • PALS certification — required
  • TNCC certification — required
  • BSN preferred
  • 1 - 2 year of ER or related nursing specialty experience preferred
  • All newly hired RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire
  • Completion of Emergency Department-specific competency validation required
