Job Summary
We are seeking a Travel Analyst II for a contract opportunity supporting a leading technology organization in the aerospace and defense industry in the Torrey Pines / Poway, CA area. This role is ideal for a finance, accounting, treasury, or administrative professional with strong customer service skills and experience supporting corporate travel, expense reporting, or card program operations.
As the Travel Analyst II, you will serve as the Travel and Expense Card Program Administrator, managing daily corporate travel card activity, resolving cardholder issues, and partnering with financial institutions and internal employees to keep the program running smoothly. This is a highly visible support role for frequent travelers, requiring professionalism, confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to stay composed when handling time-sensitive or frustrated employee inquiries.
This opportunity offers a collaborative, professional work environment with exposure to finance, treasury, accounting, travel operations, and vendor management. Candidates can expect to work with experienced teams, supportive leaders, and internal stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve new travel card requests, card applications, account updates, and account closures.
- Provide advanced support to cardholders and program administrators, including issue resolution and guidance on travel card processes.
- Manage credit limit exceptions and open or close expense category types for cardholders as needed.
- Partner with financial institutions and travel agency vendors to resolve moderately complex issues and support program best practices.
- Perform audits to ensure travel card and expense program processes are followed accurately.
- Assist employees with Concur expense report corrections and support training for program administrators.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $78,000 to $82,000 per year.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Assignment duration: 6 to 8 months, beginning with an initial 6-month term.
- Location: Torrey Pines / Poway, CA.
- Work arrangement: Hybrid, with 1 day work-from-home per week.
- Local San Diego candidates only.
