Job Summary and QualificationsThe Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is responsible for providing care to perinatal patients under the guidance of the Charge Nurse, Manager, and Director of the Family Birthing Center. This role involves delivering direct patient care in alignment with established policies and procedures, as well as the mission of our organization. Care is provided in a family-centered environment, catering to adolescents (ages 12-17), adult women (ages 18-64), and newborns. Continuous education is required, including Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and other courses mandated by Perinatal Safety Initiatives.
Qualifications Required:- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.
- Neonate Resuscitation certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
- Registered Nurse license.
- Associate degree or Registered Nurse Diploma.
