About the Role: The Tick Sewer plays a crucial role in the manufacturing of high-quality cushions, specifically focusing on the precise sewing and assembly of fabric components. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all sewn materials meet strict quality and safety standards, contributing directly to the effectiveness and durability of the final product. The role involves working closely with production teams to maintain efficient workflow and meet production deadlines while adhering to safety protocols. The Tick Sewer will also be responsible for identifying and addressing any defects or inconsistencies in materials during the sewing process to minimize waste and ensure customer satisfaction. This job requires the ability to sew cushion casings as instructed. This is a fast-paced task that requires previous sewing experience. Our machines are single needle Consew and Pfaff machines, not automatic. There are risers and boxing to be sewn within the bags as well. While we do offer some on the job training, a minimum of three years previous sewing experience is required. Minimum Qualifications: Experience operating single needle machines. Proficient understanding of sewing techniques and fabric handling. Ability to read and interpret sewing instructions. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. Previous experience in manufacturing or textile production environments. Familiarity with safety standards related to sewing and manufacturing. Ability to sit and sew all day. Responsibilities: Operate sewing machines to stitch fabric components according to detailed specifications and patterns. Inspect materials and finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Collaborate with production supervisors to meet daily and weekly production targets. Maintain sewing equipment by performing routine cleaning and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. Skills: The required skills such as operating single needle sewing machines and understanding sewing techniques are essential for producing high-quality, durable components that meet product specifications. Attention to detail ensures that each piece is free from defects, which is critical for the safety and effectiveness of tick prevention products.
