Pharmacist in Charge Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies
- Manage inventory and order medications and supplies as needed
- Provide clinical guidance and support to pharmacy staff
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and potential drug interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay updated on new medications, treatments, and industry developments
Pharmacist in Charge Requirements:
- Valid Pharmacist license in the state of Mississippi. Willing to get Pharmacist license in the state of Louisiana and Tennessee
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a licensed pharmacist
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in prescription verification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills for medication order entry and record keeping
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
