Position Overview
Our organization is inviting applications for a clinical faculty role that is not tenure-track within the Division of Academic Specialists in General Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in Charlottesville, VA. The selected faculty member will be involved in a comprehensive range of general obstetric and gynecologic services in an academic setting, joining a team of 18 OB/GYN academic specialists and 4 PA/NP clinicians. The division comprises faculty with diverse interests spanning clinical practice, education, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in office-based obstetric and gynecologic practice.
- Perform gynecologic surgeries and provide staffing for Labor and Delivery, including in-hospital call duties for Labor and Delivery and benign gynecological coverage.
- Participate in outreach clinics located within a 30-mile radius of the Charlottesville campus on a rotating schedule.
- Contribute to both undergraduate and graduate medical education.
The Division fosters strong collaborative ties with subspecialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogynecology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Menopause, and Family Planning specialists integrated within the division. There are extensive opportunities to practice in a quaternary care setting, catering to a diverse patient population in both obstetrics and gynecology.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess an MD or DO and be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical abilities and a passion for medical education.
