LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established, privately held organization in the Indianapolis area to identify a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on environment and wants broad exposure across the business. Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, this role will play a key part in financial reporting, month-end close, process improvement initiatives, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and financial records
  • Support financial reporting and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Monitor and manage accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Prepare schedules and documentation for annual audits and financial reviews
  • Support accounting activities for multiple business units and locations
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or CPA-track
  • Experience working in a multi-location organization
  • Experience within distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or similar operational environments
  • ERP system experience

Compensation: Up to $100,000 annually, depending on experience.
