Journeyman Carpenter Responsibilities

\n
• \n

  Construct, install, and repair wood and metal framing for commercial construction projects.

\n
• \n

  Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and installation.

\n
• \n

  Install walls, blocking, backing, doors, hardware, ceilings, and other finish carpentry components.

\n
• \n

  Build, set, and dismantle concrete forms for foundations, slabs, walls, and structural concrete work as needed.

\n
• \n

  Measure, cut, and assemble materials using hand and power tools with precision and accuracy.

\n
• \n

  Install cabinetry, trim, molding, and miscellaneous architectural finishes.

\n
• \n

  Perform framing for walls, roofs, floors, and structural assemblies.

\n
• \n

  Maintain compliance with all OSHA safety regulations and company safety standards.

\n
• \n

  Work efficiently with project supervisors and other trades to meet production schedules.

\n
• \n

  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project.

\n

Qualifications

\n
• \n

  5+ years of commercial carpentry experience at the journeyman level.

\n
• \n

  Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.

\n
• \n

  Experience with wood and metal stud framing, concrete formwork, and finish carpentry.

\n
• \n

  Proficient with hand tools, power tools, lasers, and layout equipment.

\n
• \n

  Reliable transportation and ability to report to the jobsite daily.

\n
• \n

  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.

\n
• \n

  Must have all basic carpenter hand tools and appropriate PPE.

\n
• \n

  OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).

\n
