Affordable Assistant Property Manager
Job Description
Seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for a 140-unit affordable senior housing community. This position supports the Property Manager with daily operations, HUD compliance, resident relations, and community services.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain resident files, waitlists, and emergency contacts
- Assist with applications, leases, inspections, move-ins, and move-outs
- Support annual and interim HUD recertifications
- Respond to resident, applicant, and vendor inquiries
- Enter and follow up on maintenance requests
- Connect senior residents with community resources and services
- Oversee property operations when the Property Manager is unavailable
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of property management experience
- HUD Project-Based Section 8 experience preferred
- Knowledge of HUD Handbook 4350.3 and Fair Housing
- Certified Occupancy Specialist preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong communication, organization, and resident-service skills
