Our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Allentown, Pennsylvania is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team. In this role, you'll provide preventive oral healthcare to patients of all ages while helping improve the health and well-being of an underserved community.

What You'll Do\nAs a Dental Hygienist, you will:

- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and periodontal evaluations. \n
- Provide preventive services including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, sealants, and periodontal maintenance. \n
- Obtain and interpret dental radiographs. \n
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, nutrition, and home care techniques. \n
- Assist in identifying oral pathology and communicate findings to the dentist. \n
- Collaborate with dentists, dental assistants, and medical providers to coordinate patient care. \n
- Accurately document patient care within the electronic dental record. \n
- Maintain infection control standards in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and Pennsylvania regulations. \n
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach activities as needed. \n

- Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program. \n
- Active Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist license in good standing. \n
- Current Local Anesthesia Certification (or ability to obtain if required). \n
- Current CPR/BLS certification. \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Commitment to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive care. \n
- \n
- Previous experience in an FQHC, community health center, public health clinic, or high-volume dental practice. \n
- Experience caring for pediatric and medically underserved populations. \n
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) language skills. \n
