Job Description
We are looking for a Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) OB/GYN physician to become a part of our successful practice located in Waterbury, CT. Our team consists of four physicians and one midwife, with weekend coverage provided by other local practices. This is a bustling environment, allowing a new OB/GYN to begin with a full patient roster, ensuring a well-rounded experience in both obstetrics and gynecology.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive medical care related to pregnancy and women's reproductive health.
- Conduct patient examinations and gather medical histories.
- Perform screenings for breast, cervical, and ovarian cancers.
- Assist in delivering babies through vaginal birth or cesarean section.
- Address urinary tract and pelvic disorders, hormonal imbalances, and sexually transmitted infections.
- Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop treatment plans and refer patients to specialists and hospital programs as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Work with Practice Management to ensure compliance with billing and coding standards.
- Encourage wellness and health education among patients.
- Robotic surgery training is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Participate in on-call duties alongside other OB/GYN professionals.
- Oversee and mentor Medical Assistants (MAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), and other clinical staff.
