Trainee Field Technician Water Network LeakageEdinburgh | Full Training Provided | Immediate Starts AvailableLooking to start a long-term career in the Water Industry?We are recruiting Trainee Field Technicians to join a growing team working across the Edinburgh region. No previous leak detection experience is required but we are looking for candidates who are quick learners and have outdoor working experience full training and ongoing support will be provided.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is practical and reliable, and wants to develop a specialist skillset within the utilities sector.The RoleAs a Trainee Field Technician, you will support the detection and investigation of leaks within underground water networks. Youll work alongside experienced technicians and repair teams to help reduce water loss and maintain essential infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with surveys to identify water leaks and underground network issuesSupport leak detection and repair teams on-siteCarry out field-based project and survey workAccurately complete paperwork, reports, and digital recordsUpload survey data using handheld devices or laptopsTravel across the Kent area as part of your daily dutiesSuccessful candidates will receive full industry training, including:EUSR Water HygieneUnit 2 Street WorksLeak detection equipment and survey techniquesHealth & Safety proceduresWhat Were Looking ForThis role could suit candidates from a range of backgrounds, including:GraduatesEx-Forces personnelDelivery drivers or multi-drop driversMeter readersOutdoor or manual workersAnyone looking to retrain into a field-based technical roleEssential RequirementsFull UK driving licenceGood communication skillsBasic IT/computer skillsWillingness to work outdoors in all weather conditionsReliable and proactive attitudeWorking HoursCore hours are 7:30am - 4pm though shift patterns can vary from 6am - 2:30pm or 6:30am- 3pm.40 hours per week.ContractThis is initially a temporary position with the potential for extension or permanent opportunities for the right candidate.Please note: This role is subject to compulsory drug and alcohol testing.If you are looking for a new career opportunity with full training and long-term progression potential, we would love to hear from you.Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond to every applicant individually.
