Job Description
Location: Cardiff/Gloucestershire - Multi-site UK role with regular travel
\nSalary: £80,000 - £85,000 + benefits (car allowance, bonus)
\nWe are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join a large, complex operational business. This is a highly visible role partnering with senior leaders to shape and deliver people strategies that enhance organisational performance, strengthen capability, and foster a positive and inclusive culture.
\nWorking across multiple operational sites, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, translating business objectives into practical, people-focused solutions that support both immediate priorities and long-term growth.
The Role\nAs a key member of the People & Culture team, you will:
Strategic Business Partnership\n- \n
- Partner with senior leadership teams to develop and implement strategic people plans. \n
- Provide expert guidance on workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, capability development, and reward. \n
- Use people data and insights to identify risks, opportunities, and trends. \n
- Lead and support organisational change initiatives. \n
- Coach and influence leaders to build high-performing teams. \n
- Champion an inclusive, engaged, and performance-driven culture. \n
- Align people initiatives with operational and commercial objectives. \n

- Support the delivery of an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. \n
- Manage complex employee relations matters in partnership with specialist colleagues. \n
- Drive initiatives that support inclusion, wellbeing, and employee engagement. \n
- Use engagement feedback and people metrics to inform continuous improvement. \n
- Facilitate employee engagement forums and representative groups. \n
- \n
- Lead talent and succession planning activities. \n
- Identify critical roles and capability requirements. \n
- Support career development and internal mobility initiatives. \n
- Partner with recruitment teams to attract and retain high-calibre talent. \n
- Drive robust performance management and talent calibration processes. \n
- Help build organisational capability through targeted development initiatives. \n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Significant experience as a People/HR Business Partner working with senior leadership teams. \n
- Experience operating within a complex, multi-site, operational, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or similarly fast-paced environment. \n
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Broad expertise across core HR disciplines. \n
- Proven experience leading organisational change and transformation activities. \n
- Strong employee relations and UK employment law knowledge. \n
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent professional qualification). \n
- A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience. \n
- Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications. \n
- Willingness to travel regularly across multiple UK locations. \n

- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, distribution, engineering, or supply chain environments. \n
- Exposure to lean operations, continuous improvement, or world-class operational practices. \n
