Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor

Location: OxfordshireSalary: £35,000 per annum + Overtime AvailableHours: 4-on-4-off | 7:00pm - 7:00am (12-hour shifts)
\nPlanet Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Night Shift Supervisor to join a well-established logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong background in warehousing, transport and customer service, ideally within the air cargo or freight industry.
\nThis role is responsible for leading the night shift warehouse operation, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods while maintaining excellent communication with both the outgoing and incoming teams. You will lead by example, working alongside the warehouse team to ensure operational targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Supervise and coordinate the warehouse operation throughout the night shift. \n
- Act as the main point of contact for the night operations team, ensuring effective communication and adherence to the operational plan. \n
- Lead, motivate and support warehouse operatives and drivers during the shift. \n
- Oversee the safe loading and unloading of company vehicles, trucks and trailers. \n
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently. \n
- Build and break down aircraft pallets in accordance with operational procedures. \n
- Accurately cross-check cargo against all relevant documentation to ensure complete accuracy. \n
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring company procedures are followed at all times. \n
- Report any operational issues to the management team. \n
- Produce a comprehensive handover email for the incoming Shift Supervisor and Operations Team at the end of each shift. \n
- Undertake any additional duties required to support the operation. \n
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse, logistics or transport environment. \n
- Ideally, experience within the air cargo or freight handling industry. \n
- Proven experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklift trucks up to 10 tonnes. \n
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and transport operations. \n
- Excellent leadership and people management skills. \n
- Good organisational and time management abilities. \n
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. \n
- A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines. \n
- A strong commitment to health and safety procedures. \n

- £35,000 per annum. \n
