Assistant Estimator roles & responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation. Measuring quantities and producing take-offs. Obtaining and analysing quotations from subcontractors and suppliers. Preparing pricing schedules and cost comparisons. Supporting value engineering exercises and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Maintaining accurate estimating records and databases. Liaising with commercial, design and operational teams throughout the bid process.
