Material ControllerTelfordMon-Fri 37.5hrsPermanentUp to circa £35,000 per annum + Excellent benefits packageWe are working with a well-established manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Materials Controller to join their Production Control team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with strong planning, stock control and supplier management experience to play a key role in ensuring materials are available to support production requirements.As the Material Controller you will be responsible forMonitoring material requirements and ensuring stock levels are maintained to support production schedulesRaising and managing purchase orders with suppliersLiaising with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, lead times and any supply issuesTracking and expediting materials to ensure on-time deliveryManaging inventory levels and identifying opportunities to reduce excess stockMaintaining accurate data within the ERP/MRP systemInvestigating and resolving stock discrepanciesWorking closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing and Warehouse teamsProducing reports and analysing material usage and stock trendsSupporting continuous improvement activities within the supply chain functionWe are looking for someone who hasPrevious experience in a Materials Controller, Materials Planner, Production Planner or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of MRP/ERP systemsExcellent organisational and planning skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and supplier relationship management skillsGood analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelThe application process:Our mission is to support our clients in their creation of an equal, diverse and inclusive workforce.
