BAM UK&I are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor in Scotland.Making Possible To support the Project Safety Manager, site management team, and workforce in delivering a safe working environment on a large construction site. The project safety advisor will assist in monitoring compliance, advising supervisors and operatives, and promoting a strong safety culture aligned with BAM standards.Ensuring safe systems of work meet the requirements of the BAM BMS, including the use of current documentationReviewing risk assessmentsCarry out daily site safety inspectionsCarry out a weekly emergency drill and complete a reportReview safety observation cards regularly (at least weekly) and complete a report for eachInvestigate and report incidents or near missesAction management; ensuring actions raised from observation reports, weekly drill reports and incident investigations are closed out by the expected timescales, and the relevant systems are updated to reflect thisCommunicate and promote a positive safety cultureSet a personal example of safe behaviourRemain professional and courteous at all times when interacting with peopleLiaise directly with your Site Agent on all safety mattersLiaise with others relevant departments e.g. environmental team, quality team, as requiredCarry out other relevant duties as required from time to time.Your team Join BAM and be part of a company delivering world-class construction and civil engineering solutions across the UK.
