Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Building Maintenance Technician to join our Site Services team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM), statutory compliance testing, and general building maintenance to ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.You'll carry out a range of planned maintenance and compliance activities, including:\n

- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) \n
- Weekly fire alarm and fire sprinkler testing \n
- Emergency lighting testing \n
- Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) \n
- Fire door inspections \n
- Ladder and step ladder inspections \n
- Drainage and sump pump inspections \n
- General building and plant room inspections \n
- Minor maintenance and repair works \n
- Recording maintenance activities and compliance checks \n
- Reporting defects and supporting specialist contractors \n
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures \n

- Experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar maintenance role \n
- Knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) \n
- Good practical maintenance skills and a proactive approach to problem solving \n
- Excellent organisational and communication skills \n
- The ability to work independently and manage their own workload \n
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and quality \n
- \n
- Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) qualification or experience \n
- Experience with fire alarm, fire sprinkler, emergency lighting or fire door inspections \n
- Basic plumbing, electrical or mechanical maintenance skills \n
