Factory Hand

Our client in Southampton is seeking a reliable and hardworking Factory Hand to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Working Hours

\n
• Monday to Friday - potential for some weekend working
\n
• 8:00am - 4:00pm - some earlier shifts also available
\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Safely move and handle 60-70kg sacks.
\n
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
\n
• Support palletising and goods-in processes.
\n
• Operate pallet trucks to move stock and materials.
\n
• Assist machine operators with stock movement and general production support.
\n
• Maintain a clean and organised production area, including sweeping, waste disposal and general housekeeping duties.
\n
• Work effectively within a small team and follow instructions accurately.
\n
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
\n
• Previous experience within a warehouse, factory or production environment.
\n
• Good understanding of safe manual handling practices.
\n
• Strong attendance and punctuality record.
\n
• Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work.
\n
• Forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
\n
