The Opportunity\nYou'll act as the tax specialist within a client-facing accountancy team, providing expert advice across a diverse portfolio of SME and startup clients.
\nThis role offers a blend of technical tax work and broader commercial advisory exposure, making it ideal for someone who enjoys helping business owners navigate both tax and operational challenges as they scale.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Advising SME and startup clients on Corporation Tax, VAT and Personal Tax matters \n
- Reviewing tax computations and returns to ensure compliance and accuracy \n
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and efficiencies for owner-managed businesses \n
- Acting as the primary point of contact for client tax queries \n
- Supporting new business onboarding and advising on appropriate trading and tax structures \n
- Providing broader business advisory guidance where required \n
- Keeping clients and colleagues informed of relevant legislative changes \n
- Contributing to process improvements and development of internal best practices \n

- ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified or part-qualified \n
- Strong experience advising SME, startup or owner-managed business clients \n
- Sound technical knowledge across Corporation Tax, VAT and Personal Tax \n
- Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice or outsourced finance/accountancy environment \n
- Confident communicator with the ability to explain technical matters to non-finance stakeholders \n
- Commercially minded with a genuine interest in supporting growing businesses \n
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple client relationships \n
