Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
\nSalary: £40,000 per annum
\nHours: Monday to Friday | Day Shift | Flexi-Time
\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research & Development Technician to join a leading engineering manufacturer. Working within the high-pressure engineering team, you'll be responsible for building, testing and validating prototype compressors, supporting new product development and helping bring innovative designs into production.
Key Responsibilities: \n- \n
- Build and assemble prototype compressors, test rigs, jigs and fixtures. \n
- Machine and modify components to support product development. \n
- Carry out product testing and validation to ensure performance and specification requirements are met. \n
- Record and analyse test data, producing technical reports to support engineering improvements. \n
- Support the transition of new products from prototype through to production. \n
- Investigate product issues and recommend engineering improvements. \n
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality teams. \n

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Product Design, or HND/NVQ Level 4 with relevant experience. \n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in rotating machinery or machinery development. \n
- Mechanical engineering and manufacturing experience. \n
- Knowledge of AC electrical systems and data acquisition. \n
- Pneumatic systems knowledge is desirable. \n
- Strong mechanical assembly and problem-solving skills. \n
- Good Microsoft Office skills. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
