We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst for a 12-monthcontract based in Derby. It will be a hybrid model.

\n

Job Description - The Role

\n

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Civil Aerospace Financial Reporting team for a Senior Finance Analyst - Financial Control. This role offers the opportunity to support the delivery of accurate financial reporting, strengthen financial controls, provide valuable business insight, and collaborate with key stakeholders across the Civil Aerospace business.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, the key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Supporting the delivery of monthly and year-end financial actuals, providing clear analysis of performance against budget and forecast.
  • \n
  • Providing financial support to the Programme Finance Business Partners including holding Variance Analysis reviews at AP (accounting period) end.
  • \n
  • Lead on forecasting for including creating timetables, co-ordination of inputs, maintaining forecasting models, supporting junior team members in the completion of the forecast, conducting reviews with the engine programme teams, producing analysis and insight and supporting questions from the engine programme teams and Civil FP&A.
  • \n
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial results through effective financial controls, documentation and governance.
  • \n
  • Leading balance sheet reviews, reconciliations and assurance activities to support financial reporting compliance.
  • \n
  • Managing audit requirements and internal reporting deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs are delivered on time.
  • \n
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance both financial reporting and forecasting efficiency, control and insight.

What we require from the candidate:

    \n
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical finance expertise.
  • \n
  • Operation of complex processes and proficient use of excel
  • \n
  • Previous experience in financial control, financial reporting, FP&A or a similar finance function.
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of SAP, HFM and/or Oracle Hyperion Planning (OHP) systems.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of technical accounting principles, financial controls and governance requirements.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build effective internal and external relationships.
  • \n
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Mentoring junior team members
