\n\nLondon | Hybrid (2–3 days per week)
\n6-Month Contract | £350–410 per day (Umbrella)
\n\nWe are working with a leading international investment bank seeking an Assistant Vice President to join its Corporate Governance function, supporting the delivery and ongoing maintenance of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR) framework across the organisation.
\nThis role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience managing SMCR processes within an FCA-regulated financial institution, who is looking to join a collaborative governance team in a highly regulated banking environment.
\n\nKey Responsibilities

- Manage the day-to-day administration of the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR) framework. \n
- Prepare and maintain Statements of Responsibilities (SoRs) and Management Responsibilities Maps (MRMs). \n
- Support the management of Senior Management Functions (SMFs) and the Certification Regime, including joiners, movers and leavers. \n
- Coordinate Fit & Proper assessments and maintain associated governance records. \n
- Prepare and submit regulatory notifications and filings to the FCA/PRA. \n
- Maintain SMCR governance documentation, including handover documents and supporting records. \n
- Support the preparation of governance and committee papers where required. \n
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on SMCR requirements and regulatory obligations. \n
- Maintain policies, procedures and governance documentation in line with regulatory expectations. \n
About You
\nYou'll have experience working within an FCA-regulated bank or financial institution and will have practical, hands-on knowledge of the SMCR framework.
