Civil Engineer

Civil EngineerSouth West, UKFull Time£40,000 - £50,000Certain Advantage is partnering with a key client to recruit a Civil Engineer. You’ll be responsible for refurbishments/renovation, new developments and listed building compliance.What will you be doing? \n

\n
• Provide advice on construction-related matters across projects.
\n
• Contribute to multiple stages of the RIBA Plan of Work.
\n
• Produce and coordinate drawing packages and technical specifications.
\n
• Liaise with key client stakeholders and the wider design team.
\n
• Interface with statutory authorities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
\n
• Arrange site and ground investigations, undertake condition surveys, and interpret findings to produce reports and remediation strategies.
\n
• Deliver alterations to existing structures, including listed buildings, design small-scale new structures, and contribute to temporary works and support design.
\n

A couple of things you should know:\n

\n
• Relevant civil engineering experience within highly regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, maritime, infrastructure, or oil and gas).
\n
• Proven track record of delivering projects across RIBA Stages 3 to 5.
\n
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and/or similar BIM-enabled software, with experience delivering to BIM Level 2 standards.
\n
• Proficient in the interpretation and production of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
\n
• Knowledge of the commercial and industrial sector environment
\n
• Experience working in nuclear, maritime, infrastructure, oil and gas etc.
