Purchase Ledger Clerk | Temporary | Coalville | Up to £15 per hour | Hybrid

Macildowie are delighted to be recruiting for an established and growing business based in Coalville, who are looking to appoint an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk on an initial 6-month temporary contract. There is potential for the role to be extended or become permanent for the right individual.

\n

Salary: Up to £15 per hourLocation: CoalvilleWorking Pattern: Hybrid – 4 days office-based, 1 day working from homeHours: Flexible between 8:00am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm

The Role

\n

Reporting into the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.

\n

Key responsibilities include:

\n
    \n
  • Matching invoices to purchase orders
  • \n
  • Checking, coding and processing overhead invoices
  • \n
  • Distributing invoices for approval across the business
  • \n
  • Preparing invoices for payment runs
  • \n
  • Scanning and filing documentation
  • \n
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • \n
  • Managing supplier relationships and resolving queries
  • \n
  • Acting as a first point of contact for accounts payable enquiries
  • \n
  • Processing high volumes of invoices whilst maintaining accuracy
  • \n

About You

\n

To be successful in this role, you will have:

\n
    \n
  • A minimum of 12 months' Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable experience
  • \n
  • Experience working with high volumes of invoices
  • \n
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • \n
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a team
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • \n
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • \n
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • \n
  • Confidence working within a busy finance environment
  • \n
\n

Experience of using COINS would be advantageous but is not essential.
