Job Description
Field Service EngineerSalary: £40,000-£45,000 + Overtime
\nLocation: Crawley
\nApplications are invited from experienced Field Service Engineers to support the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of a broad range of security equiptment.
Candidate Profile\nThe successful applicant should ideally possess:
\n- \n
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings (full product-specific training provided). \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment. \n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. \n
- Electrical and mechanical engineering experience. \n
- Fault-finding, repair, installation, and commissioning experience. \n
- Experience carrying out site surveys. \n
- Good customer-facing and customer service skills. \n
Applicants must:
\n- \n
- Be physically fit due to the practical demands of the role. \n
- Be capable of passing security clearance procedures. \n
- Have a flexible, positive, and proactive attitude. \n
- Be willing to participate in out-of-hours call-out support. \n
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
\n- \n
- 3-phase electrical experience and/or 18th Edition qualification. \n
- Health & Safety certifications or training. \n
- Welding qualifications or practical welding experience. \n
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid systems experience. \n
- Previous experience working with automated gates, barriers, blockers, or similar equipment. \n
- \n
- Occasional overseas travel may be available but is not mandatory. \n
- This is primarily a home-based field role, although occasional overnight stays may be required. \n
- Weekend and occasional night work will form part of the position. \n
- The role offers a varied working environment suited to someone who enjoys diversity in their day-to-day activities. \n
- Standard hours are based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, although flexibility is required as schedules can change depending on operational requirements. \n
- Overtime and out-of-hours work will be required, sometimes at short notice. \n
- The position involves predominantly outdoor work. \n
- Company vehicle, tools, PPE, uniform, and mobile phone provided. \n
