Paraplanner Team Leader

\nThe Opportunity
\nAn established and forward-thinking wealth management business is looking to appoint a Technical Team Leader to oversee its growing paraplanning and technical function.
\nThis is a key leadership role, ideal for an experienced paraplanner ready to step into management, or an existing team leader seeking a new challenge within a collaborative and high-performing environment.
\nThe Role
\nYou will lead a team of paraplanners and technical specialists, ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality financial planning support to advisers.
\nAlongside managing workflow and team performance, you will play a hands-on role in complex case support, technical guidance, and continuous improvement of processes and standards.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Lead, manage and develop a team of paraplanners, technical specialists, and junior staff \n
- Oversee workflow management to ensure tasks are delivered efficiently and within service levels \n
- Review and sign off complex financial planning reports for accuracy and compliance \n
- Act as the main escalation point for technical queries from advisers and client service teams \n
- Support team development through training, mentoring, and performance reviews \n
- Collaborate with compliance, operations, and senior leadership on process improvements \n
- Produce and analyse management information to support business decisions \n
- Maintain high standards of documentation, procedures, and templates \n
- Assist with paraplanning duties where required, including report writing and technical analysis \n
About You
\nTo be successful in this role, you will have:
\n- \n
- Strong experience in paraplanning within a financial planning or wealth management environment \n
- Excellent technical knowledge across investments, pensions, tax, and financial planning strategies \n
- Previous experience in a leadership, mentoring, or supervisory capacity \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities \n
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels \n
- A strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements \n
Desirable (but not essential):

- Diploma in Financial Planning (DipFA or equivalent) \n
- Experience with industry systems such as Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, or Voyant \n
