Job Description
Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Housing Officer to work with one of our Housing Association clients.What the Job Will be DoingManaging a designated patch of properties, delivering a proactive and customer-focused housing management service.Conducting tenancy sign-ups, introductory visits, tenancy audits and tenancy reviews.Investigating breaches of tenancy and taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary.Managing anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases from initial reports through to resolution, working alongside internal teams and external agencies.Carrying out regular estate inspections, identifying health & safety issues and ensuring communal areas are maintained to a high standard.Working closely with residents to resolve tenancy issues and promote sustainable tenancies.Managing succession applications, assignments, mutual exchanges and other tenancy changes.Supporting residents with safeguarding concerns and making referrals to appropriate support services where required.Working alongside Income Officers to support rent collection and tenancy sustainment.Liaising with Repairs, Income, Allocations and Customer Services teams to deliver a joined-up service.Responding to complaints, Member enquiries and resident queries in a professional and timely manner.Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring all actions comply with housing legislation, policies and procedures.What You Will NeedPrevious experience working as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer or Tenancy Officer within a Housing Association or Local Authority.Experience managing a housing patch and delivering a tenancy management service.Knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management and best practice.Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and estate management.Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Experience working with vulnerable residents and safeguarding issues.Ability to manage a busy caseload and work to performance targets.Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.Experience using housing management systems such as NEC, Northgate, Civica, MRI, Orchard or similar.Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).TPBN1_UKTJ
