This unique opportunity offers the chance to support families, visitors and professionals attending the prison while working as part of a welcoming and supportive team.Available PositionsDriver 1Wednesday & ThursdayWednesday: 8:30am - 5:15pmThursday: 8:30am - 5:15pmDriver 2Wednesday, Thursday & One Saturday Per MonthWednesday: 8:30am - 5:15pmThursday: 8:30am - 5:15pmOne Saturday per month (rotating rota): 8:45am - 5:15pmAdditional hours may become available to provide cover for annual leave, sickness and operational requirements.Pay RatesWednesday: £15.03 per hour + £0.70 prison allowanceThursday: £15.03 per hour + £0.70 prison allowanceSaturday: £22.55 per hour + £0.70 prison allowanceThe RoleAs a Bus Driver, you will:Safely transport visitors and professionals within the prison groundsProvide a friendly, welcoming and professional service at all timesSupport a positive and inclusive experience for visitorsCarry out daily vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checksMaintain the cleanliness and presentation of the vehicleLiaise with prison staff and Visitors Centre personnelComplete required records and documentationPromote health and safety standards at all timesEssential RequirementsFull clean UK Driving LicenceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to demonstrate empathy, professionalism and sensitivity when supporting individuals impacted by the criminal justice systemHealth & Safety or First Aid qualification, or willingness to complete within the first 6 monthsLicence Training AvailableApplicants who do not currently hold a Category D PCV Licence and CPC qualification must be willing to obtain these within 8 weeks of appointment.
