Our client is a fast-growing multi sector speciality distributor of chemicals and raw materials to the UK Manufacturing IndustryThey are now seeking a Process Manufacturing / Warehousing Operator . This position is site based in Redditch, Worcestershire and is a full-time permanent role working on a shift basis (Monday to Friday (8 hours a day between the hours of 6am to 10pm)) reporting to the Process Lead.Job PurposeCarry out day-to-day processing operations support within our clients Manufacturing and Warehouse Services concerning industrial powder packing / repacking, food & chemical processing, stock management and Health & Safety requirements. As required, support the other functions within the warehouse.Work with the Process Lead to ensure all processing requirements for our clients Manufacturing Services are met.Support the Process Lead to develop the capabilities for the food and chemical processing and laboratory formulation activities.This position is primarily focused on the industrial powder packing/repacking processes at the clients site however cross-site working may be required from time to time.Key ResponsibilitiesProcessingWork and assist in the production, packing and re-packing activities within the Rooms Industrial Powder Packing/Repacking facility, Food Production Rooms and Warehouse areas in our clients 3 sites.Manage stock levels in conjunction with the Process Lead.Carry out cleaning activities to maintain a high standard of hygiene in accordance with regulatory requirements.Assist in the writing and review of procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirementsSupport other processing activities as required.Checking finished records to ensure the right first-time complianceManaging warehouse and stock movementsProduce weekly and monthly stock reports directly relating to chemical and food processing activitiesEnsure all packaging is available when neededTaking photos, scanning documents and emailingFacilitating stock auditRecord and maintain Work Instructions to accredited standards (BRC, FSSC, ISORe-ordering consumablesLiaising with QC and H&S to maintain standards of Quality Management processes, Health and Safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.Goods DispatchArrange transport for finished goods including deliveries and collectionsLiaising with customers hauliers to arrange collections, deliveries and maintaining detailed records of these transactions in conjunction with BSC.Health and SafetyEnsuring correct handling of materials at all timesFollow the requirements of the MSDS to ensure safe handlingEnsure high food safety standards are met at all timesSafe loading & unloading of materials and finished goodsRaising near miss and incident reportsIdentifying locations of raw materials and finished productsChecking receipt of orders against a purchase orderWarehouse cleanlinessAs and when necessary, support other warehouse staffQualifications and ExperienceManufacturing experience to BRC, FSSC, GMP or similar standardsA Forklift Truck licence and full driving licenseClear written and oral communication skillsAttention to detail, particularly with respect to weights and measuresAbility to follow instructionsKnowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelProfessional telephone mannerUnderstanding SDS, COSHH and Risk AssessmentsDesirable but not essentialKnowledge of handling chemicals, as would a qualification in labelling and packing in accordance with IATA and ADR Regulations, although training will be providedOperating within a warehouse environmentExperience within a customer service environmentIn return, our client is offering a basic salary of £26,000 per annum plus benefits (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience).To apply for the above position, please send your C.V to Louise Roughley, Director at Atom Scientific Recruitment Ltd.TPBN1_UKTJ
