Maintenance EngineerLocation: PlymouthSalary: £44,660paShifts: Alternating shifts - 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting production through both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring machinery and equipment operate at peak performance.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns efficientlyDiagnose faults and conduct repairs on plant and machineryInstall, commission, and support new and existing equipmentSupport continuous improvement, identifying and resolving repeat issuesMaintain accurate electronic maintenance records and stock informationWork closely with production teams to minimise downtimeAssist with machinery moves and site improvementsEnsure compliance with health & safety standards, including risk assessmentsSupport TPM initiatives across the siteCommunicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and contractorsProvide guidance to apprentices or new starters where requiredAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will have:A completed Maintenance Apprenticeship or relevant qualificationsExperience working with CNC machineryStrong fault-finding skills, ideally with Fanuc control systems and PLCsUnderstanding of risk assessments and safe working practicesGood IT and communication skillsA proactive, team-focused approachDesirable:IOSH certificationSpecific machine tool knowledgeLeadership or mentoring experienceWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary with shift premium (£44,660 total)Stable, long-term opportunity within a respected manufacturing businessStructured shift pattern allowing work-life balanceOpportunity to develop skills and progress your careerSupportive team environment with a strong focus on safety and qualityWorking HoursRotating shifts: 06:00 - 14:0014:00 - 22:00Apply NowInterested?
