Morson Edge are currently seeking a Quality Control Engineer to work on the behalf of one of our reputable Aerospace clients based in Yeovil.Job Purpose:An opportunity has arisen within the Transmissions & Mechanical Parts Centre of Excellence for a Quality Control Engineer to support Production in meeting the Quality Control, Quality System & Regulatory requirements.Principle Accountabilities:• To review customer and regulatory requirements ensuring that they are met and adhered to across the business.• Prepare and deliver the quality training required to, ensure the Gear shop meets the regulatory, customer and company requirements.• Training and Qualification of Gear Inspectors, including Eyesight tests and re-validations.• Provide day to day support of Gear shop Inspection.• To review and approve product qualification documentation as appropriate (First Article Inspection Reports).• Experience in Concession process both Civil (electronic) and Military.• Prepare, review and approve quality procedures on behalf of the Quality Manager.• To act as a liaison between operations and customers on a variety quality issues in a timely and efficient manner.• To lead investigation for Customer Complaints received from the Aircraft Operators in both the Military & Civil markets related to Gears.• Plan work, review and report on progress and status of work to provide a clear statement of position, issues and actions.• To take an active role in Business Improvement and, as necessary, carry out improvement activity.• Assist in the development of others and take a proactive approach in personal development.• To maintain and review the Quality Control KPI's with the Quality Control Manager.• Represent the Quality Control Manager at key Customer, Management and Operations meetings, as necessary.Knowledge, Skills & Experience:• Educated to HNC level or equivalent (in a Quality Engineering discipline is desirable).• Integrity and professional approach,• Thorough and methodical approach to duties.• Teamworker who is customer focused.• Experience of quality procedures and systems within an Aerospace environment.• Good communicator with influencing skills.37 hours per weekSite basedIf you have the required experience for this position, please apply today or contact Lisa Nardiello on 01935 713323 for further information.TPBN1_UKTJ
