A global leader in point-of-sale (POS) innovation is seeking an experienced Senior DevelopmentDesigner to join their high-performing engineering team in the East Midlands. This is a pivotal rolewithin a business that partners with some of the most recognisable brands in retail, deliveringcomplex, high-impact display solutions across plastic fabrication, injection moulding and advancedmanufacturing processes.As a Senior Development Designer, you will take ownership of the end-to-end design anddevelopment of sophisticated POS display units. You will play a key role in shaping technicaldirection, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative solutionsfor major global retailers.Key responsibilities of the Senior Development Designer will include:* Leading the design and development of complex POS products from concept through toproduction, utilising expertise in injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, vacuumforming and other manufacturing processes.* Driving DFM strategy and overseeing overseas manufacturing development, working closelywith international suppliers, production partners and cross-functional teams.* Managing prototyping and production, ensuring seamless transition from prototype to massmanufacture while maintaining quality, cost and performance targets.* Championing engineering best practice, conducting technical reviews, identifyingimprovements and ensuring robust documentation throughout the project lifecycle.To be successful in this Senior Development Designer role, you should demonstrate:* Proven experience as a Product Design Engineer, Senior Product Development Engineer, orMechanical Engineer within a manufacturing environment.* A relevant engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.* Strong background in POS / POP design (highly desirable).* Expertise in design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).* Advanced knowledge of plastic injection moulding and plastic fabrication processes.* High proficiency in SolidWorks, with the ability to produce complex, production-readymodels and drawings.Day-to-Day Responsibilities* Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, commercial, and overseasmanufacturing partners.* Leading design reviews and presenting engineering recommendations.* Producing and maintaining detailed technical documentation, specifications and BOMs.Benefits* Up to £60,000 salary* 31 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)* Ongoing professional development and opportunities for progression* Supportive, innovative environment within a global market leaderIf you're ready to take the next step in your engineering career and contribute to industry-leadingPOS solutions, click the 'apply' button below.TPBN1_UKTJ
