COMMERCIAL MANAGER - CONTRACT CENTRAL GLASGOWOur Client is seeking a Commercial Manager for an initial 3-year contract role that has an immediate start.Woodland Consultancy Services welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates and assesses applicants based on skills, experience and suitability for the role.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Experience as a Commercial Manager in the nuclear or defence industriesExperience in pre-contract and tendering within major infrastructure projects, with strong commercial acumen and analytical skillsExperience of the job scope belowMRICS and/or MCIPS preferredJOB SCOPE:The role will involve developing procurement strategies, contract management plans and ITT processes (including supporting competitive and compliant tender submissions). The successful candidate will manage the tender process end-to-end, including preparation of documentation, commercial evaluation of bids, and supplier negotiations to achieve best value outcomes.Key responsibilities include:Cost planning, estimating, and benchmarkingTender preparation, evaluation, and negotiationProcurement strategy developmentCommercial risk identification and pricingStakeholder engagement across bid, design, and delivery teamsDURATION: 3 yearsLOCATION : The role will be based on 3 days a week in our Clients Offices in Central Glasgow (ideally Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but this is negotiable) with two days remote.RATE : £75.00 per hourLtd co rateIf the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.BENEFITS Limited Company contract Outside IR35.We are instructed to only submit to our Client candidates whose qualifications and experience match clients specifications and can work in the UK.TPBN1_UKTJ
