A well-established, CQC-rated Good Training GP Practice in Hyde is seeking an experienced Receptionist/Administrator to join their welcoming and supportive team.

\n

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Primary Care experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position within a busy, patient-focused practice. As a Training Practice, the surgery is committed to supporting staff development while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

The Role\n

As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. You'll be responsible for providing a professional and friendly service while supporting the wider clinical and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Greeting patients and managing reception duties
  • \n
  • Booking and managing appointments
  • \n
  • Registering new patients and maintaining accurate patient records
  • \n
  • Clinical coding
  • \n
  • Processing correspondence using Docman
  • \n
  • Using EMIS Web to manage patient information
  • \n
  • Supporting clinicians with a range of administrative tasks
  • \n
  • Responding to patient enquiries both in person and over the telephone
  • \n
About You\n

The successful candidate will have:

    \n
  • Previous experience working in a GP Practice or other Primary Care setting
  • \n
  • Strong working knowledge of EMIS Web and Docman
  • \n
  • Experience with clinical coding
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • \n
  • A professional, friendly and patient-focused approach
  • \n
  • The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
  • \n
