Job Description
Location: Midlands preferred (UK-wide field-based role)
\nSalary: £40,000 Basic + Overtime + Company Van
\nOur client is a leading manufacturer of diesel generators and is looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join their growing UK service team.
\nThis is a home-based role covering customer sites nationwide. Whilst the Midlands is the preferred location, applications are welcomed from experienced engineers across the UK.
The Role\nYou'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing diesel generator sets, ensuring customers receive first-class technical support and reliable equipment performance.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Service, maintain and repair diesel generators. \n
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults. \n
- Carry out planned maintenance and breakdown response. \n
- Complete pre-delivery inspections and warranty work. \n
- Produce service reports and maintain accurate records. \n
- Provide technical support to customers on-site. \n
- Travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays. \n

- Proven experience servicing diesel generators. \n
- Recognised Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent). \n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. \n
- Able to work independently and provide excellent customer service. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
