You'll play a key role in ensuring clients receive an accurate, efficient and high-quality bookkeeping service.As Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping requirements for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.Your responsibilities will include:\n

• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients
\n
• Processing purchase and sales invoices, receipts and payments
\n
• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
\n
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
\n
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable where required
\n
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
\n
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain financial information
\n
• Working with cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
\n
• Supporting accountants with year-end accounts preparation
\n
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and HMRC requirements
\n

To be successful in the application of this Bookkeeper role, you will have:\n

\n
• Previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice
\n
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT
\n
• Experience using cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
\n
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
\n
• AAT qualification or qualified by experience (desirable)
\n
