Assistant Finance Business Partner

HW Finance are working with a reputable business north of York to recruit an Assistant Finance Business Partner to play a key role in providing accurate financial insights, analysis, and strategic support to senior management and operational teams.

Reporting through to the Group Financial Controller, this role bridges finance and business operations, ensuring financial data drives informed decision-making, efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis.

• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, working with business units to set realistic financial targets.
\n
• Produce insightful analysis of performance against budget, highlighting risks and opportunities.
\n
• Support decision-making through financial modeling, scenario planning, and cost-benefit analysis.
\n
• Partner with business leaders to identify efficiencies, optimize resource allocation, and improve profitability.
\n
• Challenge assumptions and provide constructive financial guidance to non-finance stakeholders.
\n
• Communicate complex financial information in a clear, concise manner to senior management.
\n
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability for results.
\n

We are looking for someone part qualified, who is commercially and analytically astute, able to consider micro and macroeconomic factors and able to contribute and communicate across the business at all levels.

The business are based on site full time, with a salary c£38-45k based on experience/qualification.
