About the Home

Avon Search is recruiting on behalf of a well-established luxury residential and nursing care home located in the heart of Nailsea, Somerset.

This purpose-built 62-bed home provides high-quality residential, nursing and respite care within a welcoming and supportive environment. Surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and mature greenery, the home combines peaceful countryside surroundings with the convenience of nearby shops, cafés and excellent transport links.

The experienced management team leads a dedicated workforce of around 75 staff, creating a caring and professional atmosphere where residents receive truly person-centred support. The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting residents while providing guidance and leadership to the wider care team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting care staff throughout your shift
\n
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
\n
• Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
\n
• Administering medication safely and accurately
\n
• Maintaining care plans and accurate documentation
\n
• Promoting residents' dignity, independence and wellbeing
\n
• Liaising with nurses, relatives and healthcare professionals
\n
• Ensuring a safe, positive and welcoming environment for residents
\n

About You

\n
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
\n
• Previous experience working as a Senior Care Assistant within a residential or nursing home
\n
• Medication administration experience
\n
• Compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering exceptional care
\n
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
\n
• Passionate about making a positive difference to residents' lives
\n
• Able to work effectively as part of a supportive team
\n
