Head of Rates Management – London Major Consultancy | £80k | 3 Days in Office Overview TML Recruitment is partnered with a nationally recognised property consultancy currently seeking a Heads of Rates Management professional to join its growing team. This role suits a commercially astute Head of Rates Management to drive strategy, client delivery, and team leadership within its Business Rates division. This is a senior appointment offering visibility, autonomy, and the chance to shape the future of rates management services. Key Responsibilities * Lead rates management operations across a diverse portfolio of occupier, investor, and landlord clients. * Develop and implement strategy to optimise rate payments, mitigate liabilities, and identify savings opportunities. * Manage client relationships at senior level, acting as the key commercial contact for major accounts. * Oversee team performance, mentoring and developing staff to deliver excellence in service. * Collaborate with rating and finance teams to ensure integrated solutions and seamless delivery. * Support business development through tendering, pitching, and presenting strategic insights to stakeholders. Candidate Profile * Proven experience in business rates management or rate audit leadership. * Strong commercial mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights. * Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of managing teams and client portfolios. * Ideally IRRV qualified or equivalent, with deep knowledge of rating legislation and billing authority processes. * Ambitious, proactive, and motivated by delivering measurable client outcomes.
