Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial analysis, insight, and challenge to support strategic decision-making.

  • Act as a trusted adviser to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Monitor financial performance, risk, and governance arrangements across a portfolio of organisations.
  • \n
  • Review business plans, financial strategies, forecasts, and investment proposals.
  • \n
  • Assess financial sustainability and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
  • \n
  • Present financial information and recommendations to senior leaders and decision-makers.
  • \n
  • Support approval and assurance processes through robust financial evaluation.

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

About You

\n

We are seeking an experienced finance professional who combines strong analytical capability with excellent relationship management and communication skills.

\n

You will have:

\n
    \n
  • A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Significant experience in financial analysis, business partnering, and strategic financial planning.
  • \n
  • A proven ability to influence, challenge, and support senior stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • \n
  • Experience reviewing financial plans, business cases, and investment proposals.
  • \n
  • A proactive approach to identifying risks and delivering solutions.
  • \n

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within the public sector, a regulated environment, or a complex organisation.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of governance, assurance, and risk management frameworks.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting strategic planning and organisational performance.
