The Opportunity
\nFirst Achieve Engineering is working with a growing engineering business to recruit a Mechanical Service Engineer to join its expanding Service & Repair team.
\nThis is a varied role, split between customer sites and the workshop, working on a wide range of HVAC, commercial and industrial equipment. The role is predominantly focused on reactive breakdowns, servicing and repairs, offering plenty of variety and technical challenge.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Service, maintain and repair a wide range of pumping equipment, including: \n
- Submersible pumps \n
- Centrifugal pumps \n
- Progressive cavity pumps \n
- Air-operated diaphragm pumps \n
- Booster sets \n
- Pump stations \n
- Strip, inspect and assess pumps, electric motors and industrial fans. \n
- Carry out mechanical fault finding, repairs and planned maintenance. \n
- Install, set up and commission new equipment. \n
- Undertake basic pipework modifications where required. \n
- Complete site risk assessments and ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with current HSE legislation. \n
- Produce accurate service reports and provide a high standard of customer service. \n

What We're Looking For
\n- \n
- Mechanical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, SVQ/NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent). \n
- Experience working as a Service, Maintenance or Field Engineer. \n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding experience on pumps, motors, fans or other rotating equipment. \n
- Experience working within industrial, manufacturing, HVAC or building services environments. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
- A proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills. \n
