Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established professional services organisation who are seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time permanent basis in Chester.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive finance function, taking responsibility for a varied role across purchase ledger, accounts administration and financial processing activities.
\nThe successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the finance department, ensuring accuracy, compliance and consistency across financial processes.

- Process purchase ledger invoices, including inputting, coding, scanning and reconciliation. \n
- Prepare weekly payment runs and liaise with suppliers where required. \n
- Manage employee expenses and company credit card transactions. \n
- Reconcile purchase ledger accounts on a regular basis. \n
- Investigate and resolve unmatched invoices, credits and payments. \n
- Assist with month-end purchase ledger reconciliations. \n
- Support wider finance activities and provide cover for colleagues when required. \n
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are processed efficiently. \n
- Contribute to the delivery of an effective and reliable finance service \n
Ideal Experience:

- Previous experience within a purchase ledger, accounts assistant or finance administration role. \n
- Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail. \n
- Experience reconciling accounts and processing high volumes of transactions. \n
- Proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently. \n
- Professional and confident communication skills. \n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. \n
- Good IT literacy, including confident use of Microsoft Excel. \n
- Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. \n
