Senior Management Accountant (Ownership of US entity).

Job Description

Our client is an exciting media business who have a very interesting client list of big brands and sport franchises. They have a newly created role for a Senior Management Accountant to take ownership of their c $20-25m revenue US business, the role will take full ownership of the management accounting, analysis and partnering with key stakeholders. This role will also manage 1 report and once proven will be progress to also take ownership of their Irish business as well. The role will suit a finalist level to qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.

The role will be at the heart of the financial operations across the USA and Ireland, the role will lead the month-end management accounting process, ensuring accurate sales and cost of sales accruals, maintaining the fixed asset register, preparing OPEX journals, and keeping balance sheet reconciliations up to date. Beyond core accounting responsibilities, this role acts as a strategic finance partner across the ROW region — with a core focus on the USA and Ireland. The role will deliver insightful revenue and margin analysis, support forecasting and budget modelling, and provide commercial financial insight to influence bids, pricing, and key business decisions.

You will also play a meaningful role in financial transformation initiatives, tracking operational and financial KPIs and contributing to continuous improvement across our international operations.

Responsibilities:

Monthly Management Accounts: USA & Ireland

\n

  • Ensure accuracy of sales/COS accruals, working alongside operational owners.
  • \n
  • Month-end Opex journal entries, accruals & prepayments.
  • \n
  • Maintain FAR & post all relevant Depn/Amortisation & Leasing Journals.
  • \n
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations taking corrective action where required.
  • \n
  • Completion of group reporting requirements on a monthly basis.
  • \n
  • Ability to report to Group finance any variance in management accounts.
  • \n
  • Accurate Intercompany transactions with other Group companies worldwide.

FP&A: Revenue & Margin

  • Month-End (Group) Reporting - Revenue & GM.
  • \n
  • Commercial BP: Generating forecast / budgets & assisting with sales reporting and supporting country leadership teams.
  • \n
  • Contract analysis supporting strategic decision making & bid responses.
  • \n
  • Own Budget / Forecast Models.
  • \n
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts.
  • \n

  • This role will have a direct report, International Accounts receivable/payable specialist.

  • Supervise the International Accounts receivable/payable Specialist ensuring invoices and raised and posted promptly.

A salary of £55,000-£65,000 is on offer plus benefits.
