\nWorking closely with the Technical Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring moulding operations achieve Right First Time and Just in Time manufacturing standards, maintaining product quality, optimising machine performance, and supporting ongoing operational excellence.

Working Hours
\nRotating Shift Pattern:
\n- \n
- 6:00am – 2:00pm \n
- 2:00pm – 10:00pm \n
Occasional night shift cover may be required.
\nPlease note: Monday early shift cover requires a 4:30am start.
\nThe Role
\nAs an Injection Moulding Technician, you will take ownership of machine set-up, process control, troubleshooting and quality assurance across production shifts.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\n- \n
- Setting and conditioning injection moulding tools to meet production requirements \n
- Running moulding production orders using established programmes and process parameters \n
- Monitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with customer and company standards \n
- Responding to machine alarms and faults, implementing effective corrective actions \n
- Carrying out routine maintenance and fault finding on moulding machines and tooling \n
- Supporting first-line troubleshooting and process improvement activities \n
- Conducting quality inspections and maintaining accurate production records \n
- Preparing auxiliary equipment, fixtures and assembly equipment to support production plans \n
- Utilising and updating the Blackbird production monitoring system \n
- Handling materials safely and accurately through company stock control systems \n
- Assisting with new tool trials, process development and optimisation projects \n
- Providing shift support and supervision when required in the absence of the Shift Supervisor \n
- Operating a forklift truck where appropriately licensed \n
About You
\nTo be successful, you will have:
\n- \n
- A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Injection Moulding Technician \n
- IMT Level 2 and IMT Level 3 qualifications \n
- Strong Injection Moulding machine setting and processing experience \n
- Experience of tool trials and process optimisation \n
- Sound mechanical and fault-finding skills \n
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles \n
- Experience using manufacturing or ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics \n
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability \n
- Strong communication skills \n
- High levels of attention to detail \n
- A proactive and continuous improvement mindset \n
