Adult Social Care Lawyer

LAW Absolute are currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team on an initial 3-month locum contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a strong Adult Social Care background who is able to manage a full and varied caseload independently from day one.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with experience handling Adult Social Care matters.
\n
• Previous experience working within a Local Authority legal team is essential.
\n
• Ability to manage a full caseload of adult social care work with minimal supervision.
\n
• Available to start ASAP.
\n

Responsibilities:

\n
• Managing a broad caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including:
\n
• Court of Protection applications
\n
• Deprivation of Liberty matters
\n
• Judicial Review support
\n
• Ordinary residence disputes
\n
• Mental Capacity Act advice
\n
• Community care and safeguarding issues
\n

\n
• Providing legal advice and support to client departments and senior stakeholders.
\n
• Drafting legal documentation and representing the authority where required.
\n
• Supporting social care teams with complex and sensitive matters.
\n

Applicants must have previous Local Government Adult Social Care experience and be able to independently manage a full caseload.
