Adult Social Care Lawyer
Job Description
LAW Absolute are currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a Local Authority legal team on an initial 3-month locum contract.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a strong Adult Social Care background who is able to manage a full and varied caseload independently from day one.
\nKey Requirements:

- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with experience handling Adult Social Care matters. \n
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority legal team is essential. \n
- Ability to manage a full caseload of adult social care work with minimal supervision. \n
- Available to start ASAP. \n
Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Managing a broad caseload of Adult Social Care matters, including: \n
- Court of Protection applications \n
- Deprivation of Liberty matters \n
- Judicial Review support \n
- Ordinary residence disputes \n
- Mental Capacity Act advice \n
- Community care and safeguarding issues \n
- \n
- Providing legal advice and support to client departments and senior stakeholders. \n
- Drafting legal documentation and representing the authority where required. \n
- Supporting social care teams with complex and sensitive matters. \n

Applicants must have previous Local Government Adult Social Care experience and be able to independently manage a full caseload.
